Dinosaur Jr is incredible live. J mostly just stands there and focuses on his solos but Lou and Murph are very energetic and jumping around and screaming. If anyone has passed on seeing DinoJr before now, you really should go. They're probably in my five favorite bands of all time.
No offense to the 930 Club, but I'm really psyched that they're playing the Black Cat -- I've seen J. Mascis & the Fog at the Cat and Alley Katz but never Dino in a small venue like that. It'll be a HELL of a weeknight.
