Friday 27th March ? This Is London ? Toronto
Saturday 28th March ? Debonair ? Chicago

FYI - those are all DJ sets, not live band shows.

Hmmm well that sounds good.  So at most 119 possibly.  Don't know why it also says 69.12 for field when 119 is also mentioned.  What could be more then field?

U2 have done this for some time... field = GA, no guaranteed spot nor space, nowhere to sit, etc.  so if you value comfort over proximity, you're willing to pay more to have a reserved seat that a little farther back.

From LiveDaily.com - "Live Nation, told Billboard that tickets--which will be available for the US dates in late March or early April--will range in price from high-dollar at $250 to affordable, with 10,000 seats per show priced at $30; premium seating along the sides of the grandstand will cost $55."

There hasn't been a U2 ticket priced at $30 or less in almost 20 years, so that's cool.  I'm pretty unclear about what tickets will be $250, and considered premium seats, when there are premium seats along the sides of the grandstand for $55.

The Times-Dispatch is reporting Toad's Place in Richmond has been seized by the landlords for failure to pay rent for several months. No word on what's going to happen to the fairly decent lineup of shows they had booked (Dino Jr, Lady Gaga, Ratatat, Ted Leo, et al) but they're probably all canceled if this holds up. I swung by after work and they did have giant seizure notices all over the front entrance, so it definitely looks bad for a decent venue that apparently has been crushed by a much better venue in town (The National). :(

I can live without the Ratatat and Ted Leo shows (which, in theory, could get rescheduled in town, maybe for the National), but that Dino Jr. show was going to be an absolute highlight. So sad.

It appears there is some hope it will continue to function as a venue and all the shows will go on as planned, but with completely different management according to an article in Style Weekly. I would consider everything in flux for the next 48-72 hours. We'll see how it all plays out.

A couple other sources are confirming this. They'll change the name of the club, but it'll remain open with the same staff and no show cancellations. Yay!

Totally agreed. And I've been waiting since forever to see the Sadies again. Of course, I've got a flight to Barcelona the next day...

Exclaim is reporting that X frontman John Doe will collaborate with Toronto alt-country act the Sadies on an upcoming record. The Yep Roc Records released project will be titled Country Club and will feature the pairing taking on classic country tunes along with new originals. It's expected in stores on April 14th. Doe commented:

Country Club is the result of a drunken promise or threat I made to Travis and Dallas [Good, of the Sadies] the first night we played together in Toronto... These happen all the time but it's rare that anyone remembers them the morning after, let alone follows through and makes it a reality. I'm really glad we did.
The album features reworkings of songs by Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. It will feature guest appearances by Ottawa's Kathleen Edwards, Blue Rodeo's Bob Egan and several other members of the Good family. X?s Exene Cervenka shares a writing credit on one of the new originals.

John Doe is boring solo but Sadies are ace.
