Good Charlotte are playing an acoustic benefit concert.   Proceeds will go to Positive Force.
If anyone still cares, they released more tickets.  Get 'em while you can.

He's the guy with the big rings in his ear, right?  He was working the GBV show as well.

In the summer of 1970, The Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, Janis Joplin and The Band chartered train across Canada stopping in major cities to perform live. This film of their journey includes amazing never before seen concert footage, as well as intimate and candid moments of these legends who rode the rails together for this unique tour.

Garcia's "Might As Well" was written about this train tour.  I'm going tonight.  It's supposed to be terrific.
I saw this... too little documentary, too much playing. And honestly, with the exception of The Band, much of the music wasn't all that exciting. But that's just me.

dunno - unfortunately, it's pretty hard for real fat people, or even people perceived as generally unattractive, to be successful in today's musical environment post-MTV.

Speaking of MTV, I used to tape 120 minutes back in the days when it was decent & I was searching for good new music. My first exposure to the Screaming Trees was in this format - an overlooked gem of a video for the excellent little ditty: Bed of Roses.

I think I've talked myself into putting that  record on next. Thanks Rhett for suggesting that I listen to more fat guys.
