honestly though, there are SO many emo kids at AU, do you think that's part of their recruitment strategy?

I guess there's a few at GW, and maybe 1 or 2 at GU ... oh, i forgot howard, which is _very_ emo
I don't know, I haven't been on campus in years and all the mail from AU goes straight in the trash, so I probably missed the emo recruitment letter [/b]
College is gay.

The article in the paper listed prices for both students and non-students, I think, so I assume that everyone'll be allowed in. It's just $5 more expensive if you don't have a student ID.

And seriously, we don't riot at the drop of a hat. I swear.  :o  You should be more worried about the scoreboards exploding again!

dj sets only and at nation, and on a cubix/buzz night.

that firmly decides it for me-NOT attending.

too bad, i really like them, but for that entire arrangement, it just ain't worth it.

wow, this is a fantastic show. i never thought the radar bros. would come back to dc. back in '99 i saw them at the metro cafe and my friend and i were the only two paying customers. the only other people there were the opening band and bartender. it was really depressing. saw damien jurado a few months back at iota and it was quite good. he's a pretty intense dude.

I thought the Radar Bros. had been since then, because I thought that I considered going, maybe around 2001 or 2002, whenever it was that surrounding mountains came out, I just put that on

Jurado was awful when I saw him but I have been meaning to give him another shot, although Rhett didnt seem to crazy about it when he saw him last year

We found Jurado pretty boring when we saw him at Jammin Java.

yeah, i think the radar. bros might have been back one time opening for someone, you're right. and when you saw jurado, was he solo or w/a band? he was half and half last time at iota, and it was nice to hear him w/a backing band.

Solo. Definitely think he would have benefitted from a backup band. Like the one cd I have of his.

i saw him on the I Break Chairs tour (his rock album) and he had the guy from Pedro the Lion on drums and TW Walsh on guitar, it was too loud and nothing like the previous Jurado albums I had

the cleverest band, The Decemberists, have finally posted all of their dates for their Picaroons tour here:
 http://decemberists.com/dates.html

personally, i always get disappointed by their "dates" page.  i believe it should have a disclaimer reminding us hopefuls that the page contains tour engagements, not information on securing a date with a bandmember.

Lucky Bags -- I get to see them in Portland, OR next week.  Of course, it's small recompense for a trip that is way too long for way too short a time.
