regina spektor had a really cool song on subterranean a month ago or so ... i'm usually prejudiced against female singer/songwriters, but she had a really unique voice that kind of grabbed you, definitely make it out early to see her if you go ... i'd see her at black cat, but probably not with this bill ...

i saw that video and thought the same thing...it actually reminded me of tori amos' "silent all these years". i usually hate female artists too, but i'm actually considering buying her album. anyone heard it (or seen her live)?
