Yippee! Saw these guys at Iota last year and they were nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend checking them out. See you there, amnesiac! [/b]
Agreed. That show was great. Definitely one of the best I'd seen last year.

Also, rumor has it Will Sheff will be doing a solo show at DC9 in August. Not exactly sure when, but I really hope it's not when I'm in Chicago.

A little early,but...

THE BLACK KEYS READY NEW RECORD AND BIGGEST TOUR YET

As if opening six recent dates for RADIOHEAD weren't big enough news
for the BLACK KEYS, the duo will begin a headlining tour of mid-size
venues in North America and Europe this September. The trek is in support
of the Keys' first album for Nonesuch, "Magic Potion," which is due out
September 12th. A September 6th stop in Seattle starts the tour, with a
two-night closing expected in Washington, DC, on November 5th and 6th.

Holy God, yes!  Does the 930 Club count as a "Mid-size venue?"

Nicolai Dunger, who gave up a promising career as a Swedish national soccer player to pursue his passion for music, brings his aching melodies and soulful vocals.

Wow. I had no idea the Black Keys were that big to do back to back nights.  I assumed those shows would be at Black Cat.

The last show they had at 930 sold out pretty quickly from what I remember.
