Are things shifting a bit? Seems a lot of shows head to B'more / Philly these days. Haven't seen anything enticing on the 9:30 calendar in a bit. DC9 / BC seem to have better shows. Or, is it just me being all complain-y?

Seems to me that happens a lot -- every show I saw in Feb and March were at the 9:30 Club, and from early April through late May, it's all Black Cat.

i agree, a pretty weak couple of months ... the only shows that i'd probably only really consider going to are antibalas, phoenix and mogwai ... i'd love to see mobb deep, but not for $35

The Neko Case show was in April, and I don't think that will be topped by anything.
 
 Other than that, I haven't seen any DC show listings ANYWHERE that I wanted to see.
 
 NYC, Chicago, and Seattle definitely get many more interesting shows than DC.

I have to agree, I've only seen some shows I'm moderately interested in...mostly b/c I want to get out. 9:30 just doesn't seem to have performers I'm interested in, I guess.
 
 Since the new year, there have only been a few shows that I'd really hope to see. Yet, the prices seem off or too high for me. Certain acts keep touring here, upping their price 'cause they sold out last time.
 
 Iota has some shows that others here seem to be interested in, but honestly, I haven't seen a stellar show listed there in a year.

Interesting. They haven't made a good album in five years but I'll probably end up attending because they are one of those bands I've never seen. Hopefully, they'll do some of their "Some Friendly" material.
