I can't understand all the hate for The National.  I get if you don't like their music you might not like them live, but if you like their music I think they are better live.  I've seen them 10 times now since 2004 and had 1 bad show. 

I never heard of them and went to see them at 930 with a friend about 2 years ago or so. So bored. So boring. I wanted to just sit down and wait for the show to be over. The first time I saw TV on The Radio I hadn't heard of them and they put on a great show and made me a fan. It just comes down to me not liking The National's music, that's just me though.

ya know . . . i consider myself a wisened aged hippie of sorts, who likes to sit inside trees making yummy cookies for elves, but this year's all good line-up is pretty sad.  enough already bob weir.  we get it.  you used to be in a big name band, that for some reason you now can't seem to play any other songs by anybody else.  ever heard of, oh i don't know, yourself?!  it would be like robert plant only willing to do stairway for the five thousandth time, or r. waters year after year performing dark side of the yawn.....  les claypool?? buckethead??  moe is the only band that really belongs there, and even they are starting to sound the same.  donna the buffalo?  are you fucking kidding me.  let's roll out buckwheat zydeco or even better, the mighty mighty bosstones.  and really, i am tired as all hell of stinky people with backpacks/bubbles/glazed over looks.  have some class toward humanity you freaks.  it's just music for fucks sake.  stop letting the scene control what is left of your brain.
