my morning jacket.

I'm guessing they are too big for 9:30 at this point unless they play two nights in a row. They play NYC on June 20 (they sold out radio city in a flash)...a DC show has to be close, right? DAR maybe?

They're gonna be on SNL in a few weeks and on the cover of SPIN, so I think this media onslaught will mean bigger venues.

I remember seeing them in a half-full 9:30 in 2003 the night after they played Conan. That show was \m/

Here's an official download from the upcoming album, if anyone wants:

Wilco are much bigger and they still play the club.

Then again, they usually do 2-night runs when they do.

I feel like Wilco plays in DC every other month.

MMJ played back to back in November of 06. I think they will stick to clubs still for a while, at least I hope. I'm anxious for the new album. The live versions sounded great.

i remember seeing MMJ open for Wilco at the Palace Theater in Louisville, KY a few years back.  MMJ came back on stage for part of Wilco's show to play "Don't Fear the Reaper." I've never seen so many cowbells on one stage.  It was awesome.

Wilco doesn't play every month nor does double shows.  October '06, June '07, March '08 (x2).  Those are the only shows in my memory.

MMJ are a definite hit or miss live. I thought their set was quite forgettable at Lolla last year. Jim James screamed a lot of the words to the songs. It was awful.
