Yes, good ones! (Ash, Noel)
as for the other -- "Walk on Water Tour"? Might need a larger venue.

Oh, Sting was placed at Lubeville. Makes sense. Realize now last time I saw him was at the Pavillion formerly known as Nissan. I think I was hoping for an intimate show, such as the ones he held in NYC recently. Perhaps after the summer.

would be nice, but sting is charging $182 + fees for orchestra seats in lubeville (love the name) and something like $250 for the best seats at the hollywood bowl.  do you have any idea what he'd charge for a club/intimate venue date??  i believe that those small NYC dates were warm-up shows for this tour.

I think the Sting shows were holiday themed...I pinged a friend who went to ask how much tickets cost.

*edit* her reply: Sting played songs from his "Winter" album in the cathedral - cheaper seats which I think were $120. The next price up was $250 then $325 if I'm remembering correctly."

(OT, sorry: How much was Dylan at the club - $75?)

Yes please. Hopefully a 930 show, and not at Vfest.

Those Black Keys U.S. dates are at 2,000 -2,500 seat places.  I think they may have gotten too big for 9:30.  If there is a DC date it would likely be MPP or DAR.  Unfortunately.

Didn't they do two 930 shows last time around?

I'd be more than fine with a show at the National, but maybe that's too small as well? Don't know. But my only Black Keys experience was a short festival set, so I want to so them headlining, indoors.

Hey Seth..

Arcade Fire are getting back on the road for festivals.  Having them at freefest would be great.  But what would be even better is having them at the club on their tour that I'm assuming will follow the summer festival tour.  I know, I know, they've grown up and are a big band now and the club is not their likely destination in the area, but if you could coerce (or convince) them into a 2-3 night stand at the club instead of a bigger venue, it'd be much appreciated.

Hm. Wish I had thought of Artic Monkeys...you could bring 'em to 930 though too if you like! :)

hey seth,

you have a problem, and it's called ticketfly.

you might be tempted to throw your hands in the air and say "whatever, the tickets were sold eventually".  that's the same attitude that nissan/jiffy lube operators have... and note that it has caught up with them.

MPP is a major-league venue hosting major-league acts.  let's not bring down the experience what an embarrassingly sub-standard ticketing system.

Hey Seth,

Just thought I'd chime in again for this one: Gary Numan is doing shows that involve performing The Pleasure Principle from front to back. A 9:30 show would be awesome!
