Still, I have no doubt that Vansmack gets compliments from the ladies on his white belt.

My experience with wearing questionable fashion items was that you'll pick up compliments no matter how tacky the item. Some women think the fact that you stand out from the fashion sheep is reason enough to compliment you.

Of course, for every female compliment you get, there's probably five to ten others snickering.   :D   But if that one person complimenting you is attractive, who cares!

I'll always stop in Supreme if I'm in NY or LA (though they keep a far better selection in the LA store), as far as if there's a particular tee shirt of theirs I want I usually keep tabs on about 10-15 NY/LA area kids online that are always happy to wait in line to make an extra $10-15 on a tee shirt so a lot of times I'll just patronize them (or find someone on Ebay if absolutely necessary, as I'm sure you know Supreme is so widely faked that it's definitely a last-ditch option only).  And if you live in the DC area, Commonwealth on Florida Avenue ( www.cmonwealth.com ) is one of only 3 stores in the Continental US licensed to sell their stuff (of course in much smaller quantities) but they're good for finding a piece here and there, especially the accessory type stuff like backpacks and bags.

How do you people shop exclusively online?  Do you just know how some of these retailers fit you already, or do you just order the standard size you need?  I've never had clothes fit me the same way from store to store.  Hell, half the time they don't fit me from pant to pant.

I just had a nice run of shopping thanks to my wife's substantial discount at Barney's.  Now that she's moved on, I genuinely stick to shops like Banana Republic & French Connection for work/dressier clothes, Old Navy & American Eagle for shorts and casual stuff, and eBay & shows for t-shirts.  But then again, I let my wife dress me.  It's easier that way.

I mainly wear t-shirts, which I tend to get either at shows or from Threadless. And then pants wherever I can find 'em, usually The Gap.
