I've been looking forward to this show since it was booked, and if they play even half of that setlist bunnyman posted I'll be thrilled. The Buzzcocks rock just as hard now as they ever did. I've seen them every time they've come through since the old days and have never been disappointed. Although I am sorry to miss the Yayhoos.

:(    too bad, though there's a slight chance I'll still be kind of wiped from the flu (I'm better, but weak, as if I'd been in bed a month instead of shy of a week).

But Jag, the two for one I have is your doing, so it'd be great if you were there!

Twangirl, can we go by early to get in two for one?  I'm assuming that, due to the offer, there's no chance it'll sell out....?

Everyone going, if I'm there, I'll be in my black Amoeba t-shirt....

I've had this on the calendar since it was announced, and am legs-crossingly looking forward to it.

I'm going.  Caught the Buzzcocks this summer in Richmond and they were absolutely amazing.  For four old guys that definitely show their age, they put on one hell of a show.  It was almost non-stop at some points.  By far one of the best shows I saw this year, hopefully tonight will add on to that.

Is it sold out?

 I'm tempted...another last minute thing.

Its not sold out, infact with an email they may or may not have sent you there is a two for one ticket offer. What could be better than bringing Rory to his first punk show?

well more like two old guys and two young guys... and in fact the current line-up is the longest lasting in the band's history.  even longer lasting than the singles going steady era lineup.

I'm listening to "Another Music in a Different Kitchen" right now. I have to admit I think John Maher is the best punk rock drummer of all time, but Philip Barker isn't too shabby either. He did a phenomenal job in Nov. of 2000 when they played about 2/3 of their songbook from the 1970's...the show was 1 hour and 45 minutes, and by the end they were on fire. Not sure we'll get such a repeat, but you never know. They dig playing the 9:30 Club from what I understand.

From Eddie about tonight:

Tickets will be available and you can buy them as early as you like for admission at 10:00. We will probably be letting folks in to the backbar as well for the late show.
