fascinating fourteen-part mini-series of some gutsy reporters who went to north korea and recoded their experiences there.  each segment is only 4-5 minutes long.

- part one (actually segments 1 through 4): http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2010/02/09/pkg.vbs.korea.vbstv
- parts 5 and up continued at http://www.vbs.tv/newsroom/vice-guide-to-north-korea-5-of-14/

what a weird, eff'ed up place.  would be funny if there weren't so many people suffering.

Worst festival line-up announcement EVER.   Think the worst Steve Jobs product announcement impression  ever caught on film, etc....

We have an ongoing problem in the bay area with acts of violence between passengers on public trasnportation, but this one takes the cake.

Kudos to my wife for pointing that out.  I knew my taste in music would rub off on her :)

Oh, I beg to differ; if anything proves the worthwhile nature of Julian's America, it's this guy. I'm pretty sure if ThatGuy watches all 2:59 of it, I can start blogging again.

the video itself is insignificant.  the song is stuck in the head of every person that worked or attended the puscifer shows over the weekend.  it was on a loop over the PA before the show, in between acts, and after the show.
