And high school (and middle school) students have no business being in a rock club on a schoolnight. That's just ridiculous parenting.

I think that's part of the problem these days, parents "backing down." Parents need to assert their authority, and stick to it. A household isn't a democracy.

I didn't read the article...or most of the responses for that matter, but here's my take on age/adult/child.

Why can't there be a "standard age" for adulthood? At age 18, you can be sent to war, vote for your leaders, take control of 2,500lbs of metal on the road......BUT EVIDENTLY NOT RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO GO FOR A PINT!

I'm not sure about doodleville, but when I was riding public transport in England, at 14 you were an adult on the buses and trains. What is it on an aircraft these days? 16?

 Talk about a moving goalpost.

I think at age 18 you're an adult....period! So should be held personally responsible for everything you do and be given responsiblity to do it.

 Tell me why I'm wrong.

Well, ill be 18 in July, and i still would perfer older crowds, but then again, kids should be able to see their bands just like anyone else. Yes, on a school night isnt a smart idea, but i dont have to worry about that since i graduated when i was 16  ;)  Come on, do you really believe anyone is going to miss Garbage? I mean, they ARE the shit.

I won't.  If you can be sent to war and put to death for a crime, you should be able to drink fuckin' Pabst Blue Ribbon.
