Hey All,
Can someone send me the fancy "password" for the Pimlico pre-sale. Any help would be much appreciated.

we need to create a 930 Forum band to dollar ratio chart!

that way we all can tell if a show costs too much or not!   this will really help me out, since i feel like i am getting ripped off here, paying 2 tanks of gas for an all day rock concert.

  sheesh.

I've thought about this, stared at the lineup for a while, and..... this is a JV lineup in varsity clothing (100 bucks, hype, exc.).  If the wife and I go, we're pushing a quarter grand.  To each their own, but this lineup falls behind all but this year's HFS and all Coachella's.  Come on, don't believe me, just think the Who and RHCP.... are they really... well... anything important/worthwhile seeing?  Hey, if you think I'm wrong.. great.  Go and enjoy, but I won't be taking the 45 minute drive to see this "premier music festival"... just not worth it.... and another thing... Pimlico?  I go to preakness every year, and usually watch the race from the street.  What a dump!  The area, the facility... a dump.  I'm not trying to bash, but come on... is this the best the festival gods can grace on our area?

i am glad you guys ARENT going because this festival wouldnt be much fun with you people there anyway!

   good fucking lord.

the who and RHCP suck, ok? we GET IT!!

if anyone on here paid $50 to see Belle and Sebastian, you can now be quiet because you've already BEEN ripped off.

   ok, i am done.  :)

From the Baltimore Sun...

"The event falls on Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, and Pimlico is near Jewish communities in Northwest Baltimore. The director of the city's Office of Neighborhoods is setting up a meeting between the Mount Washington Improvement Association and concert organizers.

A meeting date has not been set, but the president of the association, Mac Nachlas, said he was concerned about public safety, traffic, trash and noise. He said Rosh Hashana is a day of introspection when many people don't drive, and that traffic from the show could be dangerous for pedestrians.

"When Pimlico has concerts, we can hear it quite loudly in our neighborhood," Nachlas said. "Frankly, I'm not sure the Red Hot Chili Peppers are conducive to a day of introspection."

A spokeswoman for Mayor Martin O'Malley said the effect on the neighborhood would be manageable because the event would draw fewer people than the 100,000-plus who attend the Preakness every year."

Someone help me out here...60K GA tickets are being sold and people are worried about getting their tickets soon to avoid being shut out?

Do folks really think that these tickets are going to disappear anytime in the next couple weeks?

People are worried because they think that since it is being promoted heavily in several cities that is has the possibility of selling out

Back in the heyday of the HFStival they could sell 40-50K tickets in a few hours.  Granted, they were much cheaper.

I don't think the lineup is all that terrific.  But, maybe that's b/c I've seen most of the bands I like already (except for Gnarls Barkley)

100 bucks seems a little high for being around drunk ass 98 rock listeners all day.  I'll save my $$$ for Coachella.
