Coldplay's cover of the Pretender's "2000 Miles" is available on their site, for a small fee to be donated to charity.

So is this a catered affair or bring something?  Still no word on anything like a secrete santa (as written by someone in college).

what charity?  the "I fucked up and married Gwynneth Paltrow and she's gonna dumb me as soon as my record sales plummet and then I'll be a lonely divorced, broke, washed up rock star fund"?

Maybe we should all bring a cool CD, and do one of the those gift exchange where we all draw #'s and 1 picks a CD, and then #2 picks, but they can take #1's choice, leading #1 to pick again. Or maybe #1 just gets to keep his pick.

 Or something...

Do we get to meet Seth? I've got an Exit Clov press kit with his name on it!

oh yeah! a chinese auction, i think it's called.. my family does that every christmas eve. if people are fun and like taking other people's gifts it works out a lot better (something tells me that this wouldn't be a problem with the loons). the big item my family always fights over is the "Beers of the World" goodness.

Quick rundown of how it works.. Let's say there's 30 people. Everyone draws a number. #1 has to open a wrapped gift from the pool. #2 can either take #1's or open another gift.. etc etc. That's why it sucks to be #1 because you may get stuck with a really crappy gift. It gets super fun when the fight is on for the best gift in the pool.

I just heard about this for the first time last night...The one difference being that #1 gets to go both first AND last, so still ends up with the premiere pick.

hmm that's new to me. that takes away from it. because it's always fun to make fun of the person who got #1 and just hope that they open the crappiest present!!
