Happy Birthday to....

My little boy Henry!  He turns 5 today.  This morning every person we saw in our travels on the way to pre-school he would look at them and just say "I'm 5."

Congrats, when my sister turned 4 she kept telling people she turned 4 but for some reason she could only put up 3 fingers. Adorable. She eventually got it down.

Nice.  My birthday was last week but there's not enough fingers and toes for me to energetically flash my age to folks.

I gave my son a Caps sweater for his b-day..he's been watching a lot of games with me lately. 

Henry is a pretty cool customer....he tries to be big for his age and isn't too big on the cuddling etc, kind of a "man's man" trapped in a 5 year old body......But when he opened that box and saw what was inside he knew exactly who it was from, ran over to me without saying anything and gave me the biggest hug.  He then immediately took off his t-shirt and has been wearing the jersey ever since.

All day yesterday he was calling himself "Mr. 5".  Now he's calling himself "The Great 8"!

It's moments like that make being a dad so awesome.

Never knew Ms Gordon and I shared a birthday...Although Thurston are you an Kim still talking??

Only famous ones I knew were James Monroe and Saddam Hussein (was an Iraqi holiday!)
