930 FLOOR PLAN
« on: February 03, 2009, 08:00:24 pm »
What is the floor layout at the club?? And what about chairs. I saw on the sight general admission is standing and they have bar stools on a first come first serve basis...what about when you order food?

You're going to get more reliable answers in the FAQ section, but generally...

For the vast majority of shows, the floor is almost entirely GA, barstools are extremely hard to come by, even if you order food  (although, by design most of the food is edible while standing), and you can sit before the show starts on the balcony section which is tiered, but after the show starts, you should expect to stand for most of the show.   Hope that helps and check out the FAQ to get answers straight from the horses mouth.

adding to smackie's answer: there are no chairs reserved for people who order food.  there are a few barstools by the upstairs bar, so if you get to the club early enough you might be able to grab one of those for the duration of the show.  there are also stools in the VIP section if you happen to have access to that.  you can order food at the upstairs bar and they'll bring it up to you (unless they've changed that service recently...)

every time i've ordered food from the Food Food window, it's been early enough in the evening that eating at the adjacent bar (while standing) hasn't been a problem.  if it's really busy staph might ask you to make space for people ordering drinks.

suggestion: if you're going to a sold out show, get there on the early side if you intend to order food.  showing up just before the headliner takes the stage and hoping to get food is a recipe for frustration: it'll be a challenge just getting to the FF window, and if they're still serving you won't have much space once you get your food...

Also, it should be noted that if you are asking because someone is attending who really needs a seat for something ligitimate like health issues, you can call the club ahead of time and they may very well arrange for you to have some sort of suitable seating.

There are also seats/tables downstairs in the Backbar.  That's your best bet if you want to sit down while you eat.   You obviously can't see the stage from there though, since it's in the basement.
