i don't throw away ticket stubs.  i don't throw away anything.  i'm a ridiculous packrat.  i have all of my movie ticket stubs back to 1993 even.

ok, that's OTT.  i have a few ticket stubs for really memorable movies - but just a few.  same with sporting events - i have a few playoff, opening day, first date, etc stubs... but not every single one.  i guess i consider sporting event a little more interchangeable.  live music is always one-of-a-kind (except maybe for Battles )

i still have my NES box + instructions from 1987.  i do'nt know.. not every movie or show i've gotten a stub from, so i suppose i haven't had the option to keep them all... i just decided one day to start keeping them and have been since.  the older ones with the blue-ish/purple ink print have all almost completely faded now..  the once since they started using the heat-based printing (i'm assuming) -- those are all good.  i've got all my sporting event stubs except for one from 1992 (which i may actually have somewhere)... but i don't go to many sporting events.  i suppose also, as far as movies go.. i really only go to 2-3 per year for the past 5-6 years or so... it's not as many as you might think.

I have that AND a working Intellivision with about 30 games in their original boxes.  Anybody want a 512K original Mac, Apple IIe or Atari 2600, make me an offer, but that Intelivision is NOT for sale!  I wondered for a long time where I got my tech packrat habit from from until I realized my old man has at least a dozen working 8-track players (including an in-dash player) with well over 100 cassettes.  For Xmas he asked for a USB turntable to digitize our record collection (somewhere around 12K) because he misses the crackling and the pops.  Live at Leeds, BTW, much better on vinyl.

I used to keep my ticket stubs and still have a pretty big collection from the 80s and 90s back at my folks house, but after I started moving around a lot I stopped keeping them.  Why I think  someday when I have a kid he's gonna think its cool that his old man paid $10 to see Eve's Plum at the Wiltern I'll never know...

I've always been very good about saving my concert ticket stubs.  I've probably only lost a handful of them over the last 30 years.  I even managed to scan them all last year.  I'll setup a webpage or something for them someday.

I totally save all my stubs too. I've even got a few of my favorite show stubs at work on one of my boards, for when I'm having a crappy day and I just want to think about something pleasant. The Sonic Youth in Rome one in particular perks me up.
