We already had a hate phrase / word thread about a year ago. (that's where my disdain of "potty" and "tinkle" and "hit the head" were first mentioned. I believe it is Rhett who hates "anyhoo" and I have a tendency to type that in emails...I do need to stop.)

i have two minds on those types of colloquialisms (or jargon, as "junk english" calls them). . .if it's spoken, i cringe and let it pass (and make a mental note to never utter those words myself). . .if it's in a written form, i edit it out and re-write it to make it more acceptable.
