Shipping kills this “deal” but the Beta Band is reissuing The 3 eps on vinyl and there are some signed copies available.

Fucking bargain.  I wonder what Jimmy Irsay ended up paying for it.

well not signed...but I'd love this
https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2023/rock-roll/eddie-van-halen-hot-for-teacher-guitar

est. $2-3M?  for reals?
sold for $3,932,00
https://blabbermouth.net/news/eddie-van-halens-hot-for-teacher-guitar-sells-for-close-to-4-million-at-auction#google_vignette

was a gift to a drum tech of all people
The guitar was gifted by Eddie Van Halen to the band's retiring drum tech Gregg Emerson around 1990. Emerson subsequently gave the guitar to his nephew, who sold the guitar to Neal's Music in Huntington Beach, California. Neal's Music then sold the instrument to its current owner.

wonder what he sold it for, probably not more than 50k

I gotta buy and read Van Halen rising. It’s supposed to be about when they were kids playing people’s backyards and high school parties. Sounds super fun and they say it’s great

The Monk book was so so. It picks up when they sign.
