Complaining about Nakatestes getting banned for this is sort of like complaining that Al Capone's tax-evasion charges were specious.

His entire tenure was trolling and flame-baiting and trying to get a rise out of people. Just because the final nail in the coffin was ticky-tack doesn't warrant complaint.

The difference between Rhett and myself is that Rhett will take a certain position SIMPLY to be contrarian and piss off the maximum number of people possible, regardless of his actual feelings on whatever the issue is. I, on the other hand, ardently defend my actual beliefs whether they happen to be the minority opinion (as is rarely the case) or they solicit high-fives from the overwhelming majority of boardies, which is the usual outcome since I'm pretty much the voice of a generation.

That's a buzzkill.  I figured he was just busy or something.  Those are the breaks when a forum is linked to a business, I guess.  Still, while I missed his post, I can't believe it would be worse than other people we have around here.

rhett was a dick, but he mostly made fun of people's taste in music and, often, deservedly so. yeah it was a bit much sometimes but he rarely resorted to personal attacks. and he got banned for making a MICHAEL JACKSON JOKE. think about that. but whatever.

the last drop of water is not what broke the dam. 

not open for debate.  discuss all you want, but the decision stands.

lesson to be learned from this:  if a moderator gives you a chance and warns you about something, take the hint.  over the years, the ice has been thin under several regular posters.  i usually put up a sign of some sort before it breaks.
