No, I was actually being condescending.  But thanks for sticking up for me Jag :)

Wow! Now who is being condescending?

Maybe it's because I know NKOTB but, believe me, he is one stand-up guy.

Chill out.

Enoch 18:14
What Bible are these guys reading?

Enoch is part the apocrypha.  So...they're reading the Bible.
I know of no major Judeo-Christian sect that would claim its part of the Bible.

Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church considers it part of their canon.

Their membership is about 40 million.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, Enoch 18:14 reads...
"And there I beheld seven stars, like great blazing mountains, and like spirits entreating me."

See, now this person actually answered question. "What Bible are these guys reading?" "The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedoian Bible."

You can find the book in new revised standard translations -- and its cited at various times throughout the New Testament.

dug out a box of old tapes and found my mountain goats zopilote machine tape which I listened to nonstop in the summer of 94 (b side: hank williams 20 greatest hits).. zopilote remains one of my favorite albums... most of the tape gives me goosebumps...

Remember seeing John solo in some dive music place in Baltimore mid 90s and then the old Black Cat (remember going backstage along with anyone who wanted to)

John really lost me with Full Force Galesburg- probably i just felt a need to move on and try something new after virtually overdosing on the mountain goats for a few years- but I'm going to check out some of the newer stuff..I wish he was playing a DC date with Bright Eyes..

also found out a mini album recorded right after Sweden (and disowned by John) leaked about 2007..something about farewell to gothenburg...

Have you not heard All Hail West Texas? Most essential of the 2000's, IMO.
I'd say Enoch is just as obscure as Golden Boy peanuts

right - and neither are considered part of the Bible.

wow, I've never heard of anyone giving up on the Mountain Goats prior to All Hail West Texas. I think most of us started with that album and then moved backwards. The Coroner's Gambit is great as well, and that was after FFG. I think you gave up early?
