I would guess that female divers (at least, the buxom sort) would need to wear weights.
turning this in to a learnable moment: everyone needs to wear weights when diving. even if your body, alone, sinks; with equipment (notably the neoprene wetsuit and the air tank) you become very buoyant. you also want to be heavier than water so you sink, that way you can control your buoyancy through your inflatable vest, called a buoyancy compensator. you can vary how much force is pulling you upwards by adding air to your BC, there isn't anything you can do to quickly vary how much you are being pulled down.
