We at the Sub Pop Recording Concern are hopeful that The Shins will soon be granted another opportunity to perform their wonderful brand of musical amusements on Mr. Letterman's program. We will post any new news pertaining to this performance here. In the meantime, don't forget to watch when they play on the Conan O'Brien Nighttime Carnival of Surprises February the 17th.

If for some reason "That" Jeff Daniels' time runs over (he being one of the guests tonight), The Shins have been guaranteed to be on Thursday's show. Basically, we will know by 3 pm today what the deal is...watch this space. In other Shins news, they have added a show at  The Bowery Ballroom in NYC this Friday night, January 16th ."

So were the Shins on the 13th?  Man, I set my VCR to tape last night's show, and saw that only Chapelle and Electra were on.
