So I was all set to go with the Jets on Thursday, until I played a High Stakes FIFA11 tournament with my nephew.  Had I won, I would have been able to take some liberties with his fantasy football lineup this week. If he won, he got to make my survival pool pick.

So that's how I ended up with the Jake Delhomme led Browns.

The lesson, as always, play more video games...

For those that are wondering, we went in to Week 15 last year....

Eliminated in Week 12

Nobody.  Thank you John Kasay for pulling a Brotzman.

Picks

2 - Cleveland (Seth and Smackie)
1 - New England (jeffml)
1 - Houston (godsshoeshine)

So who's left?

In the $100/$5 pool:

Seth
Smackie

And in just the $5 pool:

jeffml
Godsshoeshine

There is one mid-week games this week, so if you fancy the Eagles or Godshoeshine's favorite Houston Texans, pick early.

I am starting to think that Hurwitz sharked us. He really screwed the pooch the first couple of years only to come back and take $6k+ in the last couple of years.

I'm totally pulling for vansmack in the $100 pool.

what I learned the 1st few years was to stop trying to save the big guns for later

always go for the most obvious now

very very easy to talk about yesterday today, but div rivals are very seldom a lock

I'm surprised it took you this long.  Let those with long-term strategies eliminate themselves early and roll the dice on the long shots when it's just you and a couple people left.  Your odds are greatly improved.  Sure, it will take some luck in the end, but if I have to gamble, I'd rather gamble in week 14 or 15 then week 6.
