 Yeah, but what strikes me as funny is that I'll bet 80% of the folks who heard that don't know Johnny's politics and think he was being a sarcastic punk!
 
 He's obvioulsy a semi-tolerant fellow, though, as he pals around with Eddie Vedder, according to the article.  
 
 By the way, what was the point of the article, other than to highlight a conservative rocker, publish "his list of favorite Republicans" (how odd is that paragraph?!?), and point readers to all the conservative radio programs and websites in an article on a Ramone?

All I can say is, if you're taking your political lead from a Ramone, you've got bigger problems than your politics... sheesh.
 
 The question is, why do we care what musicians' political tastes are if it doesn't change their music?  The Ramones aren't a political band, so I could care less what they think.  
 
 Then again, I'm currently struggling with Pedro the Lion.  I liked his music before I listened to the lyrics and now I'm just creeped out by its unabashed christianity.

Exactly, which really makes the article just another vehicle for listing all the "great conservative media venues..."  Really no point at all.  But someone should warn him to stay at least 10 yards from Ted Nugent.  That guy can NOT handle a chainsaw.

Umm... if you don't believe in it, Christianity is somewhat creepy and gross.  I mean, here's some guy singing to me that I'm saved (I don't want to be saved and didn't ask to be saved, thank you) and about some guy being nailed to a cross.  Ew, didn't need that.  It makes me happy with my agenda-free music.  I like music that isn't trying to convince me of anything.
 
 Though "When They Get To Know You They Will Run" is a great, non-Christian song.  That one I like.

You know, I've never been forced to think about it.  The other religions seem to knock on my door less, invate pop culture less, and get in my face less.  Ever had a Buddhist tell you someone "died for your sins?"  Ever had a Jewish person sing about how you are going to heaven if you join them?  Has any other religion's text been turned into so many movies???

Well, if I lived in Israel and weren't Jewish, I would be denied many rights.  If I lived in India, I would hope to be one of the higher Hindu castes and/or hope not to be blown up by any of the many radical Islmic or Hindu factions that routinely make India the leader in terrorist attacks.  And if you think Moslems don't get in non-Moslem's faces....
