Anyone know where they are selling Iron City beer in the DC area?  I lost a bet on the Ravens/Steelers game..

funny, i was going to ask the same thing earlier this week.

instead i'll be going with yuenling even tho it's more of a "PA beer" as opposed to PIT-specific.  besides, green bay is being represented by miller high life and leinenkugel, also "state beers" as opposed to actually coming from GB.

Called Total Wine earlier, they had already sold out of IC Light and never got a shipment of regular IC.  They couldn't get it shipped down to VA.  Looked like I dodged a gross beer bullet.. :)

dude you have to go with a pitt beer.. green bay is a small city so it makes sense to go with a state beer for them but pittsburgh is a big ciy in a very big state...

I'm sorry but you cannot go with yuengling...yunenglings like everywhere...you might as well get something that says "BEER" on it.

if i can find a pittsburgh beer when i go shopping tonight and tomorrow, i'll definitely jump on it.  but i don't have time to run around the region to find some.

so other than iron city, any other brands i should be on the lookout for?  ideally something that is of higher quality that IC, per godsshoeshine ;D

Off the top of my head:

Victory
Troeggs
Weyerbacher
Stoudts
Lancaster

Everything I've had by Victory has been great.

Troeggs Nugget Nectar is one of my top ten all time beers, and it's seasonal release was last week.

I don't think any of them are from Pittsburgh, but who cares.

They all make better beer than Yuengling.

"Better beer than Yuengling...."

Yes.  Sure.  If you pee sitting down and regularly douche.  Craft beer is to real beer, what The Arcade Fire is to a real band.

i will be drinking water and soda pop during the game . . . so i can tell the nice young, good looking officer in the road block i drive through, "i didn't drink mister man, and i've got something you can blow into."
