once malwarebytes has run in safe mode and cleaned sh*t up, be sure to reboot normally, start up your browser... and then run malwarebytes again (yes, another full scan). i've had instances where malwarebytes cleans part of an infection, but not all of it.. and what's left behind was enough to resuscitate the infection.
solution was to do a little research online, run malware in safe mode, and then manually delete certain files and/or makes manual changes to the registry* before rebooting normally.
*hopefully you're aware of the potential risks of manual registry changes and are comfortable with them.
