I saw them @ 930 the first time.  They weren't bad, but there was nothing compelling about their live performance.

I have to re-ask Sweets' question: why are we discussing this? Is there a tour date upcoming that I'm missing?

Saw them twice, once when they first came to US and then last year in Richmond. They were never a "bad" live act, but they're also not a band that's much, much better live than on record. The Richmond show was slightly more high energy than when they first came out.

As a huge fan of their first album, I was underwhelmed, but I wanted to see them be better. Thought the Humbug show at 930 was the best I had scene. They are riff masters and they broke out some cool sounding improv stuff. Alex's forte has never been solo's though. PLus I could never understand what the fuck any of them said when they talked to the audience.

at least they ROCK... I bought some albums by 1975 and ALt-J and my sister gave me that Hozier one and they are all a bunch of pussies.
