I make above average pay, but by the time I pay my taxes, feed my 401K, feed my daughter's college fund, pay her pre-school tuition, feed my family, pay my mortgage, and pay other bills, $70 does seem like an awful lot for a show. Especially when the 8-12 other shows each year are in the 15-25$ range, and in smaller venues.
Anyway, $70 to keep their bassist from being homeless again is a better charity donation than most, I reckon.
Well said!
they were good at Lollapalooza last year, but definitely not worth $70
well to be fair its 66.50 per ticket all in for GA floor and includes mars volta
i'd say thats a steal...if you have a high paying job and $70 is a drop in the bucket.
high paying job? if you are like most and pick your shows $65 is doable...its what? 6 hrs of minimum wage?
as always YMMV
