The concept of "double or nothing" is very easy among 2 people.  When you think of what's at stake, the risks are very simple - winner is risking 1, the loser is risking 2.

[EDIT]

I had written out an entire hypothesis explaining all of this with multiple parties and formula's, but it doesn't matter as we already have a no vote on #2 and I voted no on allowing a buy in and winner take all.  The reason I did this is because there are more winners (5) than losers (3), and thus the winners are risking more ($60) to gain less ($300) while the losers would essentially be risking more ($100), but would gain a lot more ($1000).

We need 2 more votes on #1 to decide the fate of the pool.

So is there an implied option #3 - which would be if #1 and #2 fail then the two old pools are settled up and we start two new ones?

If #1 and #2 fail, then yes, we settle up this $100 pool and start a new $100 pool that is open to anyone.  I'm not starting a new $5 pool as that one is still going on.

For the record, next year I have a plan to move the pool to a different web site that allows for many more options, including a week one re-buy-in for those eliminated on the first week.

I think that's fair.

If I understand #1 correctly, the 5 participants who went out in week 5 are going to be playing for the $800 pot. Are there any objections to letting others join at the going rate of $160?

I do too, though I don't think it will matter.  I still haven't heard from "Child Please" and their email address is hidden on the site.

If I don't hear by noon your time tomorrow then I will cash out the $100 pool and create an entirely new one.

Great, thanks.  I'm paying out the original pool and starting a new one in a few minutes...

The object of 930 Part Deux is to make amends for your early exit AND be the last Active member of the 930 Board.

In order to accomplish this goal, you must correctly pick the winner of one professional football game each week.

But, to make this somewhat simple task more difficult, each user can only pick each professional football team once during the season.

If a correct selection is made, the user will remain Active for the following week. If an incorrect selection is made, that user will be Eliminated.

Our Group is limited to the first 50 people who sign up. THERE IS ONLY ONE PRIZE CATEGORY FOR PART DUEX:

$100

It is open to all and there is no $5 option for this pool.  Good luck.
