All I have to say is if it weren’t for bearman, boardie of the week,  posting on Monday about going to the show, I would have completely missed out on it having gotten it in my head it was Tuesday night.  So there I was frantically texting my brother to change plans to meet at the venue.

Wow...honored...so glad that I could be of help. For the record, Air is coming up Tuesday at MGM and ticket prices seem to be dropping. If you're on the fence about seeing this show, I think it'll become pretty darn cheap.

I posted the seating chart in another thread (it looks like it was maybe removed) but basically the entire venue was still open.

If you didn’t see the AIR show last year jump on it.

That venue is impossible to get to. Been there a handful of times and it’s horrible. Wish there was an easier solution…kayaking is actually sounding good at this point!

can't be worse than the anthem!

It’s fine dude. But on second thought I think Iggy - 1973 and today- would say fuck off.

I disagree. I think Iggy 1973 would say fuck off. Then he would say when I didn’t see you I fantasized you were dead and now you are dead to me.

But Iggy today would do some breathing exercises, meditate.  Invite him/her/them to lunch. Talk it over. Talk about the good times. Acknowledge life is short. Work it out.

And that’s a reason Iggy is alive and thriving against all logic. . .when everyone else is gone

I was concerned the great Hutch vs. Hatch war of 2025 broke the forum.

Yeah I knew that’s what you meant…I don’t know Iggy personally so can’t say….

You know…mostly life comes down to your genes and Luck…all the rest is but a small part of it…of course that’s a terrifying thought so it never crosses peoples minds.

The Air show is odd, I think the venue is the issue.  They also did just play this same show about a year ago (and it was really that good)
they have a 3 day run in NY and each night is well sold

I guess the band will get paid no matter who shows?
seems like the only people who bought tickets were the scalpers

I mean Lou Reed and Bowie made the same lifestyle changes as Iggy going from the 70s to the 80s…. The only exception might be Bowie continuing to smoke and I think he paid for it. All three became kinder and more relaxed I think….heck Lou Reed became a big yoga fan!

I expect a lot from friends because I think I give a lot. When friends treat you like you are not their friend and just someone they ran into - an acquaintance- I think it sucks. But I am open minded and that’s why I put the question up here. Looks like only Julian and Mobius felt comfortable answering it.

Getting so fucked up you don’t know what you are doing is not cool in your mid 50s. Trotting out the rote excuse “I was fucked up” no longer works at some point in life. At some point you got a drinking problem.
