Did anyone go to Shellac last week? How was it? Bummed to miss that one.

Jamey Johnson was a pleasant surprise.  I didn't know his stuff.  His husky, twangy vocals were perfect for the likes of Mama Tried, Georgia on my Mind, etc.

Didn't go to the show, but love me some Jamey Johnson. He kicks Chris Stapleton's ass in a fat, bearded ugly guy music competition.

The Elvis Costello show was excellent.  Clocked in just under 3 hours emphasizing songs from Imperial Bedroom.  Elvis and the band sounded great.  Other than Elvis, Steve Nieve was the highlight-f'ing genius.

Love Imperial Bedroom stuff.  Show was great.  Not sure how long the tour has been going but Elvis sounded a bit hoarse.  And he dragged the vocals behind the music too much for my liking.  But an overall solid show.  And Nieve was brilliant as usual.

Loved the show.
Imperial Bedroom probably in my top 10 favorite records.
Loved the show.
34 Songs!
Loved the show.
He has been dragging the vocals behind for awhile; not my favorite affect. Wondering if it's harder to stay with him for the rhythm section...But I guess Pete and (Not Bruce) just stay on the beat and EC knows that they will always be there to keep the song intact.
Loved the show.
I dislike seated venues.
Pills and Soap!
Loved the show.

congrats to those that made it to the Elvis Costello!

I was bummed to miss it.. he always delivers...........nice seat Challenged!

I don't like seats either but the Warner has some real nice acoustics and you know he played there in 78 (when it wasn't seated) so its a cool place to see him in..

I seen him there twice... both spectacular.. one time after the show I caught him by the bus and he signed my UK This YEars Model (one of my favorite records ever)

Beautiful venue; agreed. Somehow despite seeing him around ten(?)  times, never saw him there before...
Saw the buses parked on 12th street at the Nordstrom Rack. Could not wait around after the show.

19 songs in the primary set, and 15 encore songs? I hate that.  Nice set, tho!

'Encore' for the most part was walk offstage then walk right back onstage.

Article suggests that this was the 2nd time he played at Warner.  Isn't it 4 total?

The price tag was outside my budget, but so is a lower bowl Caps ticket or NFL game.  And this was Elvis.  And Imperial Bedroom.
