it's more important to to cut the losses rather then teaching a lesson.
there is no lesson, you made the right choice

Weekend Catchup:

Friday: Soccer Mommy was very enjoyable at Ottobar. Sold out show, but under-attended so there was some room. Caught up with Vas was a bonus.

Saturday: Bob Mould Band was really great and weird. Bob's guitar was malfunctioning from the start, and he decided to do the first song without guitar and stalked the stage HardCore style(?)...the guitar continued to be intermittent, and he soldiered through with Wurster and Narducy doing their usual excellent rhythm section thing. Kestrels opening were good too. Caught up with college buddy Shahid was a bonus.

Added Content: This was my first time back at the 930 since New Pornos show November 2019. Was really great to be back. It was not sold out, but was well attended. Also, there is now a whole foods very close by the clarb. And the official parking lot was moved another few blocks up 9th street, and is pretty badly paved. The old 930 lot is now excavated as the foundation/underground parking for new condos.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a 5 show, 4 venue, 3 jurisdiction (Morrison Colorado, Baltimore Maryland, Washington DC) show week.

While I can appreciate your desire for your child to be a little more “sticktuitive” with their decisions, I also would rather binge watch Succession instead of seeing Dr. Dog.

I also went to Ke$ha.

#JulianAndSpacesKidBesties?

I went to Kesha and had a great time. Stood on the top level. Plenty of room up there.

Went to Squeeze/Hall and Oates over the weekend. Hall and Oates played a really short set. I went mostly for Squeeze and they did not disappoint.

I thought KT was supposed to open this show.  Most of the packed house was there to see Hall & Oates, who seemed really happy to be there.  Really short sets by both; show was over by 10:15.  Took longer to get out of the parking garage than Squeeze's entire set, which was great as usual.

I will say, yes both the Squeeze and H&O's sets were short,
but man that was 20 straight up bangers an no fluff
both those guys have some serious back catalogue
and not every old musician can be like the stones or the boss
This wasn't as much as a dual headliner as a split headliner

Speaking of ticket price watching...

Keep an eye out on those Outlaw Music Festival tickets for next Friday night... the big DIP is gonna happen soon.

I have it on good authority that I was 100% correct in this prediction. Front row tickets available as well as dozens of other pavilion seats.

Hall & Oates were underwhelming at the 930 (many years ago)

You a big Hall and Oates fan?

I always had you pegged as more of a Barry Manilow closet fan…

Barry Manilow was my wife’s first show. Maybe she went with Vans.

Agreed. Not really complaining about the length of the show. Merely a mention.
