Space thinks you overpaid by $16 per ticket regardless who you are seeing.
although I think they are referring to physical media, for which I think there is no price low enough for space

serious question, what is the difference between: much beloved and just beloved
is it significant or just subtle?

Beloved is a novel by Toni Morrison

Much Beloved is for a band that has a fan flying in from Chile to attend a final show, two old dudes posting very similar thoughts after the show is over, several bands lamenting their breakup, reports of people having something in their eyes at the show, etc etc

i get the sense that Bad Moves drew fans from several scenes within DC

Wow no pixies review….

I showed up at Anthem about 8:50 in order to make sure to miss Kurt Vile and bought a ticket. $59.50.

About 9:20 they went on. Obviously this show was for the die hard as the first night of a two night stand. They been doing two nighters with night 1 songs from their two original pixies least popular albums bossa nova/Trompe le monde and night 2 “hits”

Red card issued due to the misspelling of beloved

Bad Moves Move On After 10 Years on “The Verge”
At their final show at the Black Cat, the D.C. power-pop band passed the torch back to the music scene they love and that has loved them in return.

If we really want to teach those CITY PAPER FUCKS a lesson in journalistic ethics, we should flood their messageboard with the Canterbury Tales.

Alice Smith is so talented. Perfect balance between owning the stage and being vulnerable. Excellent opener with Dreams, and closing with Spell

Totally agree on all that, her goofy side is fun to watch and much love and signing along from the audience.  It’s a bummer that her first album from 2006 is ancient history at this point, would love to hear songs from it.  But “She” is what the audience was there to hear and obviously the song from Sinners. It also doesn’t help there was an 8 year gap between first and the second.  Getting to hear her do songs from the first album plus “Tainted Love” at the Black Cat in 2008 was a treat
