Stereolab was solid. Just realized today the last time I saw them was over 25 years ago. Jeez. Glad I caught them tonight.

It worries me when Bearman doesn't express explosive joy from seeing a rock show of any kind. You doing ok?

Yeah. It's almost like a Space show review where he doesn't objectify young female performers/sign language interpreters.  BTW, has that ever happened?

Apparently no. One of my coworkers just asked me the same question. But I'll be fine.

Night 1 was up there with the best.
Night 2 was epiq, but not as epic as the night before.  Set II was basically perfect though.
Night 3 I didn't attend.

Find me a band that has performed to this level and continues to year after year. What a time to be alive.

He's got a knife!

Side story of a side story..  let's just say I misplaced my wallet by thr fountain Saturday night at approximately midnight. That wallet ended up on my doorstep today with all items inside included.

Hot damn that was an awesome Viagra boys show
I'm glad it was at the Anthem (at 9:30 price) it was the perfect capacity
Last time the were at the 9:30 it was just too freaking packed

Crowd was so into it and danced the whole night
Seb is such a ham and is a hell of a great front man
the rest of the band conversely were very subdued
except for all the sax from Oskar Carls.  he was going off on some Sun Ra/free jazz riff and adds such an interesting element to the music
Seb had lots of DC shout outs, remembering that he had a DC flag tattoo, mentions of Tylenol, Free DC, fighting Fascism and just the love for his fanbase of 'weirdios'

The end of the 1st set was epic with sports/research chems for what seemed like a 20 min jam that just wiped the crowd to a frenzy

On the surface, they appear to be a punk/garage rock band, they really know how to get the groove going and the crowd was pulsing and dancing the entire night

He delivered a heartfelt ending introducing worms (the same worms that eat me, will some day eat you too)
that really caped off the night perfectly
Seb does such a fine line of looking like he's totally idiot who is out of control and next intensely emotional/supportive/intelligent

For me, they are one of the best touring acts out there right now
Not sure what's in the water in Sweden, but I need to start drinking it
