Seth MacFarlane hosted. His manatees didn?t work very hard on his jokes.

Best jab.

I thought he was funny.  And not as offensive as he could have been.  Were there tasteless jokes?  Sure.  But, that's what he's about and they shouldn't have asked him to host.

I do think the Oscars should be classier than him, but that's just because I'm old fashioned and want the Oscars to be glamorous...

There's clearly a move to attract a younger, male audience to watch the Oscars, which has been a declining audience for years.  After what was traditionally an older host, in the last decade we've seen Chris Rock, Jon Stewart (twice), Ellen DeGeneres, Hugh Jackman, James Franco, Anne Hathaway and Seth MacFarlane. Seth have the best numbers among 18-34 since 1998, and the best male viewing in that age group in an even longer time.

They're not worried about folks like you and me K8tee.

I only caught the last half hour. If the closing number had been any more old-fashioned, Lincoln could have played himself.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway were unwatchable last year.  Terrible.

I was too drunk by then and had fallen asleep.

See?  OLD.  haha.

One HUGE bonus of living on the West Coast - it starts at 5:30 and usually ends by 9.  The Grammy's on the other hand are tape delayed, even this year, in the age of social media, so I knew everything that happened before it happened.

And I thought Anne Hathaway looked great last year.

I'll take Charlize Theron for the win in the hotness category this year.

I don't think there's any doubt there.  That Dior was amazing on her (the dress she danced in over the dress she presented in) and the short hair was a pleasant surprise.  I preferred Jennifer Lawrence's Dior, style-wise, but we all saw how that ended up....

Pairing her with Dustin Hoffman was bit odd though.

Her hair is that short because she's in the Mad Max remake.

and she looked incredible.

Rich old Jewish guy paired with hot, younger, obviously non-Jewish woman. Makes perfect sense in Hollywood.

You can google image that one I'm sure. i'm going to guess she's a trimmer.

Kate Winslet always has a nice full bush onscreen, often with hairy armpits as well.
