Tangential data point, but I was asked by a friend how much I spend on concerts. I tallied up all the shows I've attended since Jan 1, and included shows that I have tickets to, but haven't happened yet. I think I'm doing pretty good!

Total Concerts: 29
Total Spending: $1,616.27
Average Cost per Ticket: $55.73
Median Cost per Ticket: $45.30

Total Concerts w/o Festivals: 24
Total Spending w/o Festivals: $948.32
Average w/o Festivals: $39.51
Median w/o Festivals: $36.13

Ok now count the songs in all the setlists and figure out your songs/$ cost breaking out jam bands as their own line item.

Best value was Shannon/Narducy for that REM tribute thing. I cashed in FWB and got 37 songs for free.

Worst value was Bush at the Fillmore, at nearly $5 / song.

Sleep Token

managed to upgrade myself to pit, from the center-ice 6th row i had previously. i gotta give limited props to TM's Face Value Exchange system.  when the pit ticket popped up, i grabbed it and put my seat on the exchange - it was gone within 15 minutes.  t'was easy-peasy.
