Regardless of your opinion on U2, they do continue to put out records and then tour those records. The fact that they have 30 years of songs that are beloved by millions doesn't make them relevant. Which is really a stupid metric anyway. U2 aren't relevant despite the fact that their tours are huge sellers, their back catalog still sells and their new albums sell.
I guess what you call relevant are bands that sell 2,000 copies of their record, play a half-filled U St Music Hall but have really cool hair.
