huh? he was leaving and outside the house.. by the time he was "down" he was at the outer limit of the yard...how is that a threat?what if he was just over the fence? would it still be ok to shoot the guy? that is what happened in the case people were talking about on my FB last week..honestly this kid sounds like an idiot and he should focus more on combating his obesity although if he ran after this guy at least he got some exercise in..when i first read your post i thought you meant he was in the guy's house.. (by "house" i mean inside the abode not the yard)..if someone was in my home.. even if they were trying to leave i would shoot them if i had a gun... but once they are outside and trying to get away the last thing i would do would be to follow them and try to shoot them.. seems to me that if one did that one would be leaving themselves open to getting shot.. putting oneself in potential danger the avoidance of which is supposed to be the rationale for shooting the person trying to get away ERGO not logically consistent position
