Heard about this almost first thing this morning and am still at a loss for words. My most sincere condolences.

My deepest sympathies to Josh's family and the 9:30 family.  Josh was an integral part of the D.C. music community.

To say he'll be missed is an understatement, was always super helpful to me during numerous visits to the club.

When the Angels Sing

This was the first song I played when I found out.

Very sad. Our deepest sympathies to his family. Whenever we saw Josh, the wife and I always got a big hello from him. Our favorite memory of him was at a Ministry show years ago at the 9:30 when he, along with the other security guys were lined up in front of the stage and bobbing their heads to N.W.O. as they scanned the crowd.

When the Angels Sing

This was the first song I played when I found out.

Me too.

Then I played Don't Take Me for Granted.

I'm afraid to click Kosmo's link because I know I'd lose it.

EDIT: I was wrong.  It made me feel really, really good.  Josh probably knew that would help.

I'm holding off on Hallelujah though.

some touching posts including pictures on one of his facebook pages...I guess his public page..

I am really sad today...its going to feel weird going to a show and knowing there is no way he will be there... 35 is way way too young to go.. I guess he just seemed indestructible which is part of the reason for the shock... of course I can only imagine what his family, friends and 930 family are feeling... I think the last time I saw him was the New Order show at Merriweather.. just gave him my usual nod.. ALWAYS was good to see him. I guess it can all be summed up by one felt that he genuinely cared about one having a good time AND that the contrast between his seemingly threatening appearance and his gentle nature was pretty unique...can't judge a book by its cover or tell much about a person by the way they look and all that obvious stuff....I remember one time standing outside after Peter Hook and asking him if he thought Peter would come out and talk to us...it was an early show on a 2 show night.... I saw That Guy go in and about 15 minutes later Peter Hook popped out in the alley looking for us....I distinctly remember seeing him in 2006 at the JACK concert in Baltimore groovin' to the Stray Cats....I was glad over the years to see him becoming a recognized and appreciated part of the DC community... of course having him on this board was very cool...

Very sad news.  He was such a friendly, helpful, professional, and cool person who definitely enhanced the experience at the 9:30 Club in numerous ways.  My thoughts are with his friends, family, and colleagues.
