Probably for position players.  If a 32 year old can get 5 years, Martinez, Moustakas and Hosmer should be alright.

No idea what it means for Darvish and Arrieta though.

6-man rotation?  Pujols shares DH and plays in the field again?  Either way I'm stoked.

Wanna blow your mind?  This guy broke down three scenarios for the Angels to deal with Ohtani.  If nothing else read the Flex Schedule Scenario.

I have three possibilities: stick to the traditional 5-man rotation and force Ohtani to deal with it...Install a straight 6-man rotation and force the rest of the LAA staff to deal with it...or install a flex system that changes the number of days rest between starts.

I'd be shocked if he lasts the entire year as both a starting pitcher and hitter..... my prediction is that they eventually choose one or the other depending on how he's doing..... I could easily be wrong, but in any case, it's gonna be pretty interesting to watch.....

Dammit. I saw the CJ Cron to Tampa deal and hoped it was for Odorizzi.

Instead, the Twins got Odorizzi and the Angels got a PTBNL.   

The Rays had a plan.  What were the Angels clearing salary for?
