The next TMNT movie looks pretty tight. Tons of fan service.

Batman & TMNT mini series just launched on Wednesday. I laughed at the cover, my friend messaged me saying it was actually pretty good. Don't know how I feel about that.

Picked up this DC comic called Prez. It's about a viral video star who gets elected president. It is a SCATHING commentary on modern day society. It might actually be my favorite comic of the year. It's so god damn funny!!

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE | Official Trailer [HD] | 20th Century FOX
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COvnHv42T-A

"Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel?s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction."

looks typical.  for some reasons, the villains in these things always disappoint.

Why is that X-Men movies just don't land. I feel like they're missing SOMETHING... X2 was great but ever since they're just lacked something for me... Not sure. Maybe it's just that they weren't gritty to begin with? Can't put my finger on it.

Seeing the new Batman vs Superman trailer also makes me less excited. They've also confirmed The Flash for that movie? Sheesh. Cram MORE shit into a movie, DC.

That's crazy. I've also heard this isn't going to be 100% Batman vs Superman, I guess that makes sense with the log jam of Justice League members they're putting into this.

I haven't really liked any of the X-Men movies except for that last one where Fassbender levitates the stadium. That movie was a good time. I think the rest are all kinda silly and dumb, but I'm not much of a superhero movie guy either. I just can't get with a guy dancing around in a cape.
