To be fair, isn't that most people's least favorite track off Tigermilk?

I like it a lot.

Fantastic song, and the live version is better than the studio. Lots of fun to dance to.

I take it that this sebastian fellow and his belle are people i need to know about?

I'm going to say...No you don't need to
I'm liking the prospect of this not selling out

as I'm really tiring of all these (over)sold out shows

Belle and Sebastian co-founder and former member Stuart David (now of Looper) has shared "Paper Boat", a previously unreleased B&S song written around the same time as 1998's The Boy With the Arab Strap. The song is accompanied by a video directed by longtime B&S collaborator and Looper member Karn David, featuring footage of Stuart Murdoch and the since-departed Isobel Campbell on vacation in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1998

though it wasn't released, it was on the 'black sessions' which was often 'traded' back in the days people traded cassettes of live shows

I was really underwhelmed by Paper Boat. No wonder they never want to play it.

I don't think they're going to knock anyone's socks off with rare songs being played (i.e. I Love My Car, Beautiful, String Bean Jean, or I'm Waking Up to Us), but the pool of songs they are playing from is very strong. I hope they aren't playing the new lame, full band version of Piazza they've played the last couple times through. Write About Love is a great album and deserves more than just one song a show. And yes, I Want the World to Stop is a great song.

All in all, with their most recent tours, you know what you are going to get, but they're still going to be awesome.

My God Help The Girl DVD kickstarter finally arrived today, there is a reason I won't ever back a film project on kickstarter again... Me thinks Stuart and co got in over there head with some of what was on offer.

Yes, I was a very happy man last night.  Gorgeous weather, gorgeous venue, the band was in great spirits and played a wonderful set list - San Francisco themed for sure.  I'm still on a bit of a high from it.

Haha - I'm glad somebody got it.  I asked the cabbie to drop us a couple blocks short of home for that photo.  You could have commented, he's got a great sense of humor.
