Can one tell me how they remember what they did in February over a decade ago?

I was just hanging out getting high with my friend Jay.

Jay was not your friend, he was someone with whom you sometimes smoked weed...

This thread just makes me sad. I used to go to shows. Like the Wrens at the Black Cat in 2005. Was that the backstage one? Because that was the best one.

I was at a Wrens show in early 05' as well. I saw Bill Frisell earlier in the evening and then went to the Black Cat (this show was on the main stage and not too good). I think actually the last time I ever listened to the Wrens. Do they still exist?

The Wrens have a new album that's apparently done and being readied for release.  They got some teasing on Twitter when they announced Harper Lee was putting out her follow-up before them.

No kids for me. Yes, I still go to shows, just not all the ones I want to go to!

Yeah, that Wrens show on the mainstage was not as good. It was the backstage one before that one that was the best! They are still around. One of these days their new album will appear. They're almost as bad as George RR Martin!

Zebra...now there is a Long Island metal band I've not heard named in ages (technically they are from Louisiana)

just found out ...On October 8, 2012, Zebra was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
can't believe there is such a thing

apparently... It has been the decision of the Hall to define "Long Island" geographically, adding Brooklyn and Queens counties in addition to the more common definition, which typically only refers to Suffolk and Nassau. This approach has been questioned, but the Hall states that the inclusion of all four counties on the land mass is in keeping with the historic mission of the museum

kinda stretching it to include NYC in LI

Also, I finally watched "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" this week - and I'm pretty sure I was at that show.
