it is sometimes hard to believe that Hendrix if he were touring today would be a younger buddy guy!
but there are tons of musicians who heavily abused drugs in the 60s and 70s and lived to tell the tale.. we're talking people who did heavy cocaine or heroin for years.. and they pulled through fine in the end.. I think Hendrix was unlucky...I also think quite a while ago musicians who sold records began to have entire teams of people to support them (including their habits) and make sure they were ok..
either way he was one of akind.. and boy would it have been a treat to see him live over the past 20 years... although who can predict how his career would have gone..
