I think 2016 has been a great year for music so far (I know it has barely started.  Here are the albums I have dug so far this year (NOT a list of everything I have heard or enjoyed;  Some stuff I still need more time with, like the new Sia and Tricky albums):

Abbath - Abbath
Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Arc
The Besnard Lakes - A Coliseum Complex Museum
Bloodiest - Bloodiest
Cauldron - In Ruin
Conan - Revengeance
David Bowie - Blackstar
Elton John - Wonderful Crazy Night
Exmortus - Ride Forth
Height Keech - Unending Blaze Volume 1
HINDS - Leave Me Alone
Damien Jurado - Visions of Us on the Land
Leggy - Dang
Megadeth - Dystopia
Milk Teeth - Vile Child
Quilt - Plaza
Raindeer - HWYL
Rihanna - Anti
Saul Williams - MartyrLoserKing
School Of Seven Bells - SVIIB
Sunflower Bean - Human Ceremony
Surgeon - From Farther Known Objects
Suuns - Hold/Still
Tim Hecker - Love Streams
Ty Segall - Emotional Mugger
UXO - UXO
Witchcraft - Nucleus

Edit: I also have the Cult, Nevermen, and Black Tusk on deck...

I like Blackstar and have to open the Megadeth one... they had this deal at target that if you get the cd you can go on a website , put your info in and they will send you a free LP.. I got to do that... I did that last year for the Stones Sticky Fingers deluxe and they sent me a free LP>. its a pretty cool deal... as far as i know only target does that and i haven't seen any other issues they've done that with..

I just got the new Lucinda Williams in the mail today (signed) and probably will listen to it next.. right now I'm playing Bob Weir's Ace LP.. what a great record..but its from 1972...so not the concern of this thread..

I take it you stream everything you hear on the internet? Which site do you use for your streaming?

I do not stream anything (except some random songs on SoundCloud and random mixes on Mixcloud).

In all seriousness: Bandcamp, iTunes (rarity), Amazon, hard copies of stuff from bands at shows, etc.

the Black Tusk record is great, I really like it. Love how their 3 voices all work together, which makes Jonathan Athon's death just a fucking tragedy.

It was a joke.  I used to use them as a teen growing up in the 1990s.

The worst thing I have probably heard this year was 20 seconds of two songs off of the new Drowning Pool.

Yikes.
