Pearl Jam debacle
« on: July 09, 2005, 10:42:00 am »
Okay, I know there are only 3700 seats, which probably is more like 2500 when you take out band and casino reserved tickets.  But come on -- Ticketmaster didn't 'open up" for sale until 10:05 and then three of us were all trying, and they were out of tickets immediately.  I've been trying for 40 minutes in case there are those "let go" tickets popping back up.  Nothing.

 It's frustrating as f***.

Yeah. I had the same problem. Check a couple of days before the show. I've had some amazing luck (with a pj show) with tickets being released the day before. While I doubt this will happen with such a small show, it's still worth a shot.

I had amazing luck and got one GA ticket to each show! I'm still in disbelief.

Best of luck getting tickets to the show. I'd love to see as many hardcore PJ fans there as possible.

I had to work during the on-sale & my minions were shut out too.

No luck with the lottery either.

I'll take an extra if anyone is feeling charitable.   :D

 Not many on ebay either.

 A tough, tough ticket.

well this is a good as time as any... i will have an extra ticket for two of the canadian shows, that need good homes.

 London 9/12
 Hamilton 9/13

I will be driving to the London show from Detroit so  anyone interested will have to meet me there.

Since he is so modest:
His fan club number is REALLY good. Meaning these tickets will be VERY good.

I'd take them KV, but I've already got tix lined up. Tho I'll be spending the evening looking forward at the back of your head bobbing. Actually...maybe I should take the London ticket just for the opportunity to come up close occasionally. And for your company of course.   :D

Nothing against Sleater Kinney, but I wish I could see the SuperSuckers at one of the Canada shows I'm attending...Missing them by one date.

Man, I'd love to buy the extra tickets, but there's no way I can get that kind of time off from teaching this fall.  :(

Ok, I love when these things come full circle

In 2018, Eddie Vedder reunited with cameraman Rob, who helped his death-defying stage dive off the camera crane apparatus at Pinkpop Festival in Holland in 1992...!
Vedder said of the meeting..
"Someone sent me a postcard with the picture of me jumping from that little thing, and in the picture, there is the cameraman who looks at me like he wants to fuckin’ kill me, and I realize he has every right to do so. I’ve never seen him since, and I see this thing in the hallway of my house and it reminds me of that day, and I wonder what happened to that guy. Is he still pissed off?”, Vedder explained.
“So when we were in Amsterdam the other night I met a local and asked if there was any way to find him. And we did! And he’s here, he retired in January.”
