Patriot Ctr now can do a 3600-seat concept, besides its 10,000 and 6,000 or whatever.   That puts it directly at what DAR is and probably near what I.M.P.'s new Waterfront capacity will be.
Yes, the new arrangement doesn't help the fact of where it is (but that may not matter to agents or bands seeking "Washington DC Market"), but could bring more theater type acts there and/or not at DAR or elsewhere.
No matter what---a 3600-seat audience would have the most toilets-per-person!

The waterfront venue (cap. ~6K) will be a theatre built for music performances; EagleBank is built for basketball.

EagleBank is built for basketball.

It was built for multi-purpose, not just basketball.
Gotta give Abe Pollin credit when it comes to arena creation/management.
It was the first private management (Abe Pollin, now Ted Leonsis) of a university arena when it was built.
It's a very busy arena.
Consistently in the top 10 in nation and top 20 worldwide for revenue/ticket sales for it's size.
3rd nationwide and 12th worldwide last year.
